A/C problem

so after my A/C temporarily being 3 cold 2 warm (left to right as you sit in the car) it's now 2 cold 3 warm.... Ergh.

Wasn't nice doing the Coventry motofest track in 25c temps with a load of cars out on track, windows shut and sweating my ballz off lol.


Calling ford at lunch to get it looked at... If it needs a regas i'll be worried it's leaking, if it's blend door again this time they can fix the motor.

Definitely sounds like an HVAC main unit issue with a vent or director flap within the unit not operating correctly in diverting the right air to the right places.

Well I can now add my car to the list of evaporator failures. Re-gassed twice (despite my protestations that this was a waste of time). Nitrogen tested and guess what....evaporator failure. Next kick in the balls is being told there are none in the UK and are on back order. Any ideas where we can get hold of the unit as I don't fancy a summer behind a V8 with no aircon. :headbonk:

Definitely sounds like an HVAC main unit issue with a vent or director flap within the unit not operating correctly in diverting the right air to the right places.

I'll relay that to ford ! They're thinking blend door, which I lubed up before (Well some vent that appeared to be jamming.

Ran the car back in again yesterday, Aircon blowing hot out of right hand vents and nothing in drivers footwell. The service guy was in agreement this time that it probably didn't need a regas last time it was in. Had enough of Ford now what with the bath I am going to have to take on the Transit that is in the garage every two months.Head mechanic said he is on 1st name terms with owners of post 2016 Transits.Anybody considering buying one don't !!

can probably get one from levittown on here and ship it over faster than ford can get the part through official channels pretty sure someone else did that recently too and got the part within days where as ford were quoting months.

also don't take it to stoneacre

Thanks for the advice. Under warranty ive been informed the part has to come directly from Ford.
How do I get round this other than paying for it myself?

ring ford csc and complain directly to them since you can forget about the dealerships around here
