Hey guys,

Has anyone else noticed that their A/C is not particularly cold? We've had a couple of hot days, well hot for Scotland... and I've had the A\C on full and on it's lowest setting but the air it's blowing out is still fairly warm.

Not gonna be a huge problem as our 2 days of summer are over but wondered if anyone else had the same thing.

Thanks

I am in Germany at the moment and it is around 29c, and my air con is working very well indeed - so I think you need to get it checked.

AC on, cooled seats, top down - the only way to travel...!

Top down? so you're air conditioning Germany instead of you.

We were lucky enough to be in the Highlands during the hot week in May and then through the French and very hot Spanish Pyrenees in June.

The air conditioning was fine but I did notice that the area around the centre console got super hot probably due to the exhausts being routed under the car. It caused my left leg to get well hot.

Also driving with the windows open still needed the air con to be on otherwise the 3 air vents blow super hot air probably straight off the engine.

Have your A/C checked. Not uncommon it seems to have issues with it. Handful of guys in my group here have and I have my own weird issue. Somtimes my A/C doesn't feel cold but if I point the vents at me, it's fine. I dislike having the vents right at me - would rather have the ambient temperature be cool like I could do in any other car I've had. But... point them at you. If no cold air... dealership.

I have wondered myself why when set at 17 degrees it was blowing out warm air, until I realised the A/C wasn't on. Assuming yours is on does it get any colder if you go Max A/C?

Yup, but the vents do a great job of cooling me first!

I drive continually with my ac on for both heating and cooling.

When I want it freezing I go to low and hit the recirc air button to super chill it. I'm impress at how cold it gets.

I was always told to run the ac as it keeps gas circulating and stops it deteriorating. I had a focus for 10 years and the ac was fantastic right up until I sold it.

Have to say that the AC is nowhere near as good as my 17 year old 3 series.

Been great since day one. Had a near 600 mile round trip over the weekend and it was flawless.

Today, the car was sitting for most of the day in hot sun, got in it to go get beer, within 30 seconds, all was good in the hood :D

Actually mine is just the opposite. I'm used to leaving it on auto with AC on and expecting it to blow warm when it's cold outside and vice versa. It doesn't seem very good at reacting to outside temp and blows cold even when ambient temp is lower than the set temp in the car. Not every time though - haven't managed to figure out a pattern yet.
