I replied in another post regarding this subject. I had to have my evaporator replaced a few weeks back because of a leak. Air temp variation across the vents, white film on windshield. Periods of no cooling at all. It was low on coolant. Found no leaks during routine under-hood checks. Deeper checks revealed a leaking evaporator. Not sure if it's an improved part, but here's the part number of the one installed into mine: FR3Z-1850-S.It took until January 2017 for the A/C to fail again. The dealer just replaced the evaporator yesterday. Hope this one lasts. Does anyone know if the replacement evaporators are improved over the original?
