A/C Issue

Anyone experiencing or know someone that's experienced their A/C not working anymore?

My A/C stops blowing cold air after 10-15 minutes of running (sometimes less) and if I turn it off and wait a few minutes, cold air will start blowing again.

It still blows air, just isn't as cold as it should be anymore.

Also realized if I change the temperature or fan levels, the cold air stops blowing quicker.

Sounds like your condenser is freezing because the compressor is overworking (too cold)

When you shut it down because it is not working the frozen condenser is defrosting and then it will work somewhat afterwards

Try putting temperture setting between halfway and three quarters, if it works keep moving temperture colder till it freezes again--you'll then know how far to go and still have air----something is not right on car, should not do this

Do you recommend I take it to Ford to get it looked at? I know A/C issues could be a numerous amount of things so any suggestions on things they should look for to prevent the condenser from freezing?

My car did that right after driving it off the lot brand new in November '14. They replaced the compressor and it's been fine since.

My AC is out for the third time in a year. Condenser was replaced last time. Obviously, that didn't fix it.
