A/C Acting Weird

Hey guys,

My 2021 Mustang GT keeps starting up blowing air through the defroster vent (especially in the mornings) despite having it set on the dash vents in the screen. I'll toggle between different zones in the screen a few times and eventually it'll switch over to the dash vents.

When it does blow through the dash vents, the air flow is weak despite the fan spinning full speed, until about 15-20 minutes into driving, at which point the air suddenly starts rushing out full strength.

Is this by design or is something wrong? ChatGPT says it's by design to prevent blowing hot air at you until the air cools down, but it happens when it's not very hot out too.

You Mustang prolly has a failing HVAC mode door actuator.

Exact same problem, it defaults to All (def, dash, vent) when I turn on my car, when it's set to just dash. However, I can reliably turn the foot vent on and off and then it blows correctly out of the dash. It started doing it after a Dealer BCM update, but was also around a change in season around here and thought maybe it was a coincidence.
