Does anyone know if the lund 93 octane tune can adjust for bad gas? I just pulled the trigger on the JLT/lund combo from beefcake. I have a tank of 87 in the tank and I am curious if I need to run it out before installing the tune.

Just add some 100 octane to tank of 87

I don't know much about their tune but can you ask for 87 tune and 93 tune if there's an ability to switch between the two?

you'd probably be fine as long as you didn't go WOT, but to be safe it should be drained.

Mixing fuel is not recommended for most performance tuning as they are very sensitive to octane levels. That is why everyone advises against using fuel additives and octane boosters as well.

Yes, burn up all the 87 in the tank and then put 93 in it...before you tune. Don't run a 93 tune on 87. The engine will knock, and the knock sensors will pulling timing...you want to avoid that. Severe knock under load can cause engine damage.
GREAT ADVICE!

We normally recommend running 2 tanks of premium before doing any "spirited" driving.

Had the Ford Performance Products Tune on my 2013 GT and I was caught out in the boonies of Texas once at a gas station that only had regular. I had to limp home as the engine stumbled quite a bit. Ended up siphoning the remaining unleaded out of the tank and refilling with premium. I probably didn't hurt the engine much. Couldn't really tell. Why chance it?

I keep my tuner in the car for just this kind of scenario. I can always flash to stock if the need arises.

That's being prepared as the Boy Scouts used to preach. My tuner was in the bottom drawer of my garage workbench when I needed it. Typical me.
