I was also considering something like this to get to 600 HP for similar costs, but came across a deal for my ecoboost and GT that I just couldn't refuse

It was going to be 25k for my old ecoboost + 23k quote to send my car off to EMS and have everything taken care of, but now it's 35k car + 10-15k whipple and install

Either way would be a good spot to be in. I'm really happy with how mine turned out.

Lol. Thats part of the reason I stuck with this project, but not all of it.
I've had fun all during the build process and I'm really looking forward to seeing what I can get out of it at the track once the revisions start happening.

Lol.
I've never wanted to follow the crowd so to speak. I like the oddball stuff. I've owned an '84 SVO, a '90 FZR400rr, and a Buell Firebolt.
The odd stuff just speaks to me, but without a doubt, it would be cheaper and faster had I gone with a 5.0. But it wouldn't suit me.
Among others over the years:

1988 Mazda 323 GTX
1992 VW Corrado VR6
2001 Toyota Tacoma S-Runner (oddball version of ubiquitous truck)
2020 HPP

I feel ya on the oddball stuff. The world has enough normal.

I admit that I caved to the “I gotta have a GT” crowd. I had eyes on a HPP Ecoboost with the HP but it was Black and that’s a no no for me. But I would love to see some guy in a non modified GT give you a ration only to be embarrassed, is that wrong to say? lol.
No N/A GT would hang with that, modded or not.

Those SVOs could churn out some power back in the day. They were that unicorn car. And the FZR was a good looking bike. My brothers been into bikes for decades. He still wrenches, mainly on Yamahas, he’s gold cert on them. He’s the one that got me into bikes. Had an R1 I nearly lost my life on. Story for another day.

The one car I wished I would have gotten was an RX7TT. But all you heard was the nightmare those engines were back then and today. I think if I would have just jumped in feet first and immersed myself in the Wankel engines I don’t know if I’d be here right now.

I figured some of you might be interested in my 2016 Mustang build that Jessie at EMS is putting together. You can see it in a couple places:
Website https://thesaus1975.com//
YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@thesaus1975
I should have the car back from EMS soon. Jessie will start the tuning process with Ryan Martin @ PD-Tuning next week. It shouldn't be much longer before I start posting a little more often.

The best line from your website:
" Once I realized it was faster than the 2010 Mustang GT I traded in on it"

So you were also one of those poor guys who fell for the Ford extra rebates to get those bastardized, slow, no after market supported S197s off the lots too huh?

I owned mine for 23 months, until it got spanked hard by a stock Challenger R/T and went literally into the dealership that weekend and bought a 2012 with the Coyote.

I bought my 2010 used because it was all I could afford at the time. It was an excellent car and sounded mean. Just not all that fast. The Ecoboost is a better car in every aspect for me, except the exhaust note. (I'm inside where all that stereo equipment drowns out the engine, so I don't have to put up with it. LOL)
