2016 PP suspension mods:
Steeda shocks and 1in. lowering springs. Proper Camber bolts for drop correction and good alignment. New gt350 axles, new bearings all the way around. New powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic brake pads.. New 50th anniversary shelby supersnake 20x11 and 20x9.5 with new invos. That is the upgrade. All work was done by a professional garage at the same time. Now when only at 60mph, I now get a subtle louder than normal road noise "light humming", I cannot feel in the steering wheel but can hear. It is not affected by the drivetrain at all. I Have put it in neutral and still happens. As soon as I leave that exact speed faster or slower it instantly goes away. Tire pressure is in spec. Also side note. When traveling on a high speed run, 100+, I hear what sounds like an intermittent vibrating noise that once again is not felt through the steering wheel. It is not a constant noise it comes and goes, then comes and goes with a rhythmic sound until under 100 again. Runs straight as a arrow with no issues and feels safe.
Any thoughts??? Possible driveshaft vibration with the high speed issue? The driveshaft is still stock.
Thanks peeps!

Now I dont feel so bad. Did you try to get a resolve for this issue yet?
Yeah, being that it sounds like a tire noise I swapped tires first. No luck. Then I changed the struts/shocks and springs (wanted to raise car, and had a blown strut), installed the Steeda lateral links, removed the BMR subframe brace. No luck. Had it aligned a couple times, looked over everything up front and cannot see anything out of place or looking like a culprit. I have noticed that it appears to be louder/more prominent when warmer out, and the pitch changes based on the surface of the road. I am guessing it is something with the driveshaft center bearing/brace or the diff mounts. All of those are stock and untouched.

Hmmm. Interesting. The 2nd week of April it goes in for new performance mods: ported 2018 mani, 47lb injectors catted longtubes, VMP tune jlt cai. I'll have them see whats up. Considering changing out the driveshaft for 1 piece unit.

I thought about the driveshaft, but after reading through the clunk thread it seems the aftermarket ones are 50/50 shot of solving the issue. Not really keen on dropping 800-1000 bux on a part that "may" fix it.

I will say this, I had one on a 2010, it was supercharged with the 560R Brenspeed kit and I was extremely happy with it. It was a carbon fiber one.

You have 11 inch wide rear wheels. Wider tires= more road noise. As for it comes and goes, pay attention to the road surfaces, see if it correlates to the asphalt type. Usually the coarser the surface(usually new asphalt) = less road noise.

Ok thank you. To clarify the 60mph noise happens on all surfaces. The high speed rhythmic sound is only at higher speeds also on all types of surfaces. I live in pa(roads blow), and some roads are cement and some are nice smooth asphalt.

I live in pa(roads blow), and some roads are cement and some are nice smooth asphalt. It could be just the characteristics of the S550. It made the same "high speed only" rhythmic sound in all stock trim when I first bought it with 25k on it.

My noise was non-existent when I first installed the wider wheels/tires. It was fine for a year before it started. I assumed it was the tires getting louder as they wore, hence why I replaced them. Noise persisted. My next guess was wheel bearings so I checked the axle nuts on the rear as it is a common issue. Both were tight, checked for play front and rear and none at all. Noise doesn't change when going straight or turning, so I am guessing it is something on the rear if indeed a bad bearing, but as I said no play or anything out of the ordinary was found when I checked them.
