Good post. Doesn't look like they were all spoken for. You need to keep in mind that the market for this type of car is extremely small. Lots of interest for sure but very few actual buyers.

Just got a call back from a dealer in Oregon asking $7k for a black track package with blue OTT stripes and car cover. Pretty sure they would take $5k over. Just arrived yesterday. PM me if you want the dealer info. I already have one locked in out of state.

But to be clear, they are asking "$7k-8" according to the sales guy. I did not try to talk him down since I don't need another allocation. It is my assumption that if you start at 7 you'll take $5k. I assume they will not drop below $5k as he stated other dealers were offering that.

It's funny, he didn't believe me when I stated that I had a deposit down on an MSRP deal.

What you got was typical car salesman bull crap. Offer him a few below sticker and see where the chips fall. It costs nothing to make an offer, you have to start somewhere. You are the buyer and are driving the bus at that point, they cannot force a price point if you don't agree. A person who doesn't read internet forums and has no exposure to all the pre delivery hype of these cars is going to laugh at these askings and start with a much lower offer, no reason for you not to pursue the same business like approach.

I've called every single one that advertised sticker price and have heard between 5-25k over. Plus a lot of them were already sold and just there to get interest in the dealer.

Same for me. Over 50 dealers spoken to.

Can't trust these man. I called 3 dealers that had a "discounted price" and all said it was a mistake and were charging 10k+ over.

Yes, it already has on this very car. I talked to Mullinax New Smyrna Beach in late August, when they had this car on order. At that point, they were adamant about $10K over MSRP. I offered them $5K over then, even though I didn't really want this color combination. They refused, and I've ordered the car I really wanted (Magnetic w/o stripes, tech pack) through another dealer at a lower price.

My car is being built the week of January 11, and I should have it the first week of February.
