I just put together a GT prem. coupe with the 50th appearance pkg and chose the spoiler delete. Not only did it accept the option...it took the spoiler out of the picture. I thought this was not possible with the 50th appearance pkg ?!!

The spoiler isn't part of the 50 Years package? It isn't listed as being part of it anyways.

Yeah, but the 50th Anniversary Package is only available on the 2.3T and GT. And those come standard with spoilers.

I know it's the live version, but it's still not fully cooked yet. I wouldn't worry too much.

But I think adding the PP will also result in a spoiler delete and PP trumps all other options from what I recall being said.

I sure hope so, I don't want the spoiler.

Here's more info on the spoiler and the 50th Anniversary Appearance Package. I suspect there is no requirement on the 50th Appearance Package to have a spoiler and I don't see why the delete option wouldn't be valid unless the car also has the Performance Pack (as Tony has explained below).

You can't choose Spoiler Delete if You Choose the Performance Pack or the 50th Anniversary Apearance Package because It Clearly States that Both the Performance Package and Anniversary Package Already Include Spoiler Delete as part of the packages. So for that Reason there is No Spoiler to Delete if You Choose those Packages, which is why You Can't Choose the Stand Alone Spoiler Delete Option.
This is not correct. No where in the order guide does it say the 50th anniversary appearance package (an option for the EcoBoot Premium and GT Premium models) deletes the spoiler.

The 50th anniversary limited edition (totally different body code than the GT Premium) has the spoiler deleted because it is based on a GT with the performance pack. That is what deletes the spoiler. Two separate salespeople confirmed this to me, otherwise I would have ordered my GT Premium with the 50th anniversary appearance package.

The problem is most, if not all, of the 50th Appearance Package cars (non PP, of course) have had the spoiler on them.

In the lists for the 50th LE or PP, Spoiler Delete (13D) is listed as what's included. It's not listed as part of the 50th Appearance Package and it says 13D is not available with that package. The natural assumption is, unless some other package overrides it, you HAVE to get a spoiler with the 50th AP.

That's where the confusion comes in.

If it doesn't have a spoiler on it, it's not really a Mustang. Although I don't really like the base spoiler, so I'm probably going to get a raised carbon fibre spoiler similar in look to the California Special one on the S197...

I see now. Yes, you're right. The latest ordering guide posted in this forum does state the spoiler delete is not available with the Anniversary Pkg. Thanks for clarifying for me and sorry for the confusion I added.

PS: I want the spoiler with my Anniversary Pkg so this isn't a problem for me.

Tell that to 60's Mustang owners. In fact, you are telling that to one ;). I disagree wholeheartedly.

The nice thing about the 2015 Mustang is that the truck lid has a nice ridge that I think makes it not need a spoiler.

Actually, it's quite specifically a '60's Mustang spoiler I'm looking to get:

I know that's a '71, but it's the same as on the 1969 Mach 1.

Has anyone tried to actually put an order into Ford's system to see if it rejects the spoiler delete if you also put in the 50th AP?

Any dealers want to give it a shot? That's the only thing keeping me from getting the 50th AP.

Since it is a 50 AP, I don't recollect a 65 having a spoiler.....for what this spoiler is, it doesn't add anything to the car, in appearance or functionality. I saw 2 yesterday both AP, one a GT one an EB both had spoilers BUT neither were PP.....I don't care for the spoiler.

PP trumps the 50th pkg in everything except the dash. ie. My car has both 50th appearance and PP and it has spoiler delete from the PP.

Spoiler Delete
