50th anniversary welcome kit

W White charger in the kit.

I think my charger is DOA. Can't get it to charge or work. Anyone else having a problem with it? Maybe I'm using it wrong?

Travel idea isn't bad. Wouldn't have bought one for just that but may as well use that one since it costed me 49 grand.

Now that I think about it, that was one expensive charger!

I had that code written down on some notes of mine, with my owners manual, but didn't know (can't remember) why I'd written it down, lol.

Perhaps if you can tell us what page (and in which manual that's in) there may be some more info.?

Hi Guys; I am a new 2014 mustang owner, a 2014 leftover. Just got it on 4-29-2015 .. It was a left over2014, no miles brand new , race red 6 speed manual, so my question here is first mustang 1964 right 50 th. anniversary would be 2014 right... Why is the 2015 the 50 th. anv. model when 2014 is the 50 th. year.. This just dont make sense to me .. does some one need to do the math at ford.. Just curious.. Mike

Hi; I am new to ford.. I bought a 2014 left over mustang gt with 9 miles on it.. I bought it 4-28-2015. race red , 6 speed manual nav , sync etc.. My question is why is the 2015 mustang the 50 th. annv. year... 1964 to 2014 would be 50 years.. Am I missing something here.. thanks Mike

The car was released in 1964 as a 1965 model. Even the ones that people call 64.5's are registered as 1965's. The only difference (and how to tell a 64.5 from a 65) is the 64.5 had a generator and 65 had alternator.

So the s550 actually matches. It was released in 2014 as a 2015. There was no mid year change to differentiate between early and late cars though.

Admittedly, there has been (and still is) confusion over the years due to the years that ford has chosen to celebrate it. Sometimes they've celebrated the year of release, and sometimes the registered year of the cars.

Highly personal-- Mine is staying original...already own the book and I have the mini-manual for actual use. Not saving it for future "value" (that ain't happening) but future show use...bring the car out "like new" in 10-15 years at major Mustang anniversary shows and show it and the "gifts" in their original state...just a hobby thing.

No argument here.... but as soon as the cars are finally sold....Fordaccessories should release the 15 LE gift kits for public sale (as they did with the 12/13 Boss 302 kits)...I'll be buying "seconds" there....
