Hi Expedit.. what do you mean 'I was able to pop the old caps off by simply pressing on one of the tabs with my finger. No tool needed.'
What do you mean by - tabs?

Yes, wheels taken off. The stock center caps have little clips that hold them on. I just pushed on one of them and the caps popped off.
