This has got to be the deal of the century. If I was you, I would sell the Ecoboost and buy a GT. That way you have a ton of parts on hand for the future.

Im waiting for the owner to confirm if she is going through with it. Apparently, there are blood on the front seat where the driver died for not wearing a seatbelt. EWW.

Damn. It must have been a severe crash. This is the first crash where I heard of the Mustang owner dying.

Died from being rear ended? Must have been one insane impact.

Well... not wearing a seatbelt will make your chances of death or severe injury much higher no matter how well the car's designed.

Something is not adding up...

I would have to guess the car was:
1) insured
2) still under a note (financed - not many people pay $30K+ cash for vehicles)

So with that in mind - even if the car was a total loss - the Insurance company would be taking the car and auctioning it off.

I'm not sure how anyone can offer that car for $1k cash....

And

If the story is true that a drunk driver caused the accident and there was a death, I'd imagine there's going to be litigation efforts (and wouldn't the car remain in impound until the investigation and/or litigation was over)?

Get some pics of it.

I'm curious about the mechanical aspect of this. I know in a lot of new cars it's barely plausible. But if this might be something to consider in the future when you can find 5.0's cheaper.

I don't see Coyote motors getting cheap. They have been around for 5 years now in multiple vehicles and they are still pricey to get your hands on. Definitely worth the money in older cars that you can pick up cheap, but no swap will make sense in a S550 for another 10 years.

She called me back and she told me she will put it up for auction. Should I up my price and get it from her or follow it to the auction and take a chance?
