Honestly, if you go through the hassle of installing headers, you've probably already thrown the idea of warranty out the window.Headers won't ruin the car but will give you a check engine light. A tune not only removes the cel but optimizes the headers and ads power. Modding and voiding your warranty is a personal decision.
I'm running mine without a tune right now, and got a CEL. Should go away once my tune arrives.
Supposedly, if you go with the Kooks green cats, you shouldn't get a CEL, but they cost a good chunk of money too.
