4.09 gears installed and 6 alerts pop up on dash

Just picked up my car and I have alerts coming on. Any reason why? Any way to get rid of them?

Well, did a KAM rest and it got worse. Can’t select drive modes now. Pre Collision says it’s not working with a host of other weird stuff.

How do you do a KAM reset?

If you have a hand held tuner like an SCT or nGuage there is a KAM Reset function as well. Just quicker but accomplishes same as negative battery term disconnect.

A member posted in another thread about this problem after swapping gears. He posted he had to have the tune modified to fix it. Not sure who it was.

I recall that thread. He reached out to his tuner and I think and a revision addressed. That's worth a shot reaching out to the tuner or taking back to the dealership if they did the install to review.

I have read that it's actually in the bcm and it can be changed with forscan. But i have not personally done it so I can't verify. I have the gears and install kit but i also have the performance tune pac on order. Im waiting for that and i know that tune pac gives you the option to change it.

I think I got it thanks to everyone’s help. I had my e85 tune when I had the gears put in. I got home with all of the alerts going off. I did a KAM reset but it was with the e85 tune. So I loaded the stock tune and did a KAM reset. That cleared it up. However, I loaded my e85 tune back since i had a half tank to run out. I cranked the car but and the alerts came back along with two car icons with traction marks behind them. Weird. So I cut the ignition off and Was going to take note of all the alerts to email Lund. However, when I started the car again everything went to normal. Whew! What a relief.

BTW, the 4.09 gears are awesome. Snappy around town. Low end grunt is phenomenal!

K, then whoever installed it fucked something up. Or check for a blown fuse.

I had the hill assist warning, my rev match stopped working and the back up camera stopped working when I did the 4.09s. I emailed my tuner after confirming I installed everything right. He sent me a new pair of tune files for 91 and E85 and I haven't seen the light or had issues since.
