4.09 gears help

This is the first time I have heard of anyone having trouble with a second gen.

Just bought the car just over a month ago. Worked great, had the gears swapped from 3.31 to 4.09’s and now all kinds of problems :(

is there anything I can check or try with forscan while I wait for a tuners response?

thought this would have been an easy swap. So far it’s just been a nightmare.

changed on the tuner and it changed to 0199 in forscan.

took for drive, same problem.
Loaded forscan change to 19A.

same problem.

Really stuck and don’t know where to go next.

I really think it is ECM 845 "max gear ratio"

will try and see if I can get the tune.
with the BDX they are cloud based and not sure if I can pull it.

Not that I know of. If you have an MPVI device HP tuners might read it.

With a 2015 you should be able to adjust with Forscan. Also, my ProCal tool which I got with my 2020 Ford Performance powerkit allows up to 4.09. If you have a 2020+ you can't use Forscan to adjust the ratios.

Can't hurt to try changing the tire size.

Going to 1st thing in the morning. Running 265 35 20’s which are 27.3” tall. Verified it is running 083C in forscan.

Will try a 265 65 20 which will give me a roughly 3.33 gear. Which should be 0A1E

Update, contacted everyone that tunes for SCT devices and not one person said they could do it. They said that does needs to updated the programming and I should be good to go.
Guess it’s time for a new tuner, Lund said they could do it no problem. So now I have to wait a week or two for the tuner to arrive as I am in Canada.
I will update everyone with what is required as soon as the tuner arrives.
