I was offered a 3rd party warranty by my dealer when I purchased the car in march. were any of you else offered this?
I think it was 8 year or 100k whichever happened first.
im thinking its a waste of time. and I was told could get my money back. what do you guys think?

I bought an extended warranty through Ford, I wonder why you weren't offered that?

I might be talking about the same thing. I don't know much about it. I just remember thinking that 8 years or 100k was a good deal for 1400 extra.

I think mine is 7yr-75k or 8yr-80k bumper to bumper/wheel-tire/leather/paint. It was a no brainier at $1,600 but at $27 a month on my payment.

It's probably ESP which is Ford, not a 3rd party (being Ford is better).

If you plan to keep the car more than 3 years/36000 miles then I think it is worth it. What if your head unit stops working at 4 years? That's an easy $500-1,000 repair. There is so much tech in the 2015 that it invites more potential problems. Warranties are always a gamble but 2+ extra years for the cost of 1 repair out of warranty isn't a bad idea.

it is worth it. I was just wondering how many other people felt the same way. also, if you guys have added any mods please let me know. im worried about voiding a warranty, but I don't think ill be doing that with a catback and Cold air intake.

ESP (FORD) or a 3rd party?
HUGE difference between them. Know what you are buying before you buy it.
With ESP you have a painless warranty claim process...with JoBlo third party warranties- good luck.

I'm going to opt for the Geico Mechanical Breakdown Warranty. I'm told it covers tuned and mildly modded cars. Any body have any experience with this?

I posted a sample of their contract in the 5.0 section but no, that's FUD. It specifically excludes repairs due to alterations of the car.

Mods are pay to play.
