I’m in-between cars
It looks like by sheer luck I may have found my car already built. The dealer is selling it at MSRP and it’s the exact spec I want. Could someone please give me a list or take a picture of all the stuff the car is supposed to have from the dealer all the paperwork and documents and book thank you.
that’s kind of a compound question. The car comes with what was on the invoice from Ford. So if they ordered Locking Lug nuts or car cover or other accessories then that will come with the car.

The owners manual will arrive in the mail as that is sent directly from Ford.

congrats on acquiring an R!

Just to be clear you have located a 2020 R model that is on the ground and for sale at MSRP?

If your dealership already has this car built then they would be able to provide you with a VOC, VIN and Window Sticker verifying all options for your R model along with the final MSRP pricing.

With respect to paperwork and documents for an R model other than the WS the GT350 R model Owners Kit will follow in due course once you sign all pertinent paperwork and show that this car has been titled and registered in your name.

If you have already taken delivery of a 2020 R then certainly congratulations are in order!

and jim owens got involved. they titled the allotment as VIP because of joe's youtube channel and his endorsing of the ford brand/vehicles. i have a youtube where i talk about ford but im not even remotely on that level. joe got back to me as well, recommended i look elsewhere and wished me luck.

LOL. Raitti of all people are not the people you need to talk to. He interviews other people's cars for a hobby.

Well at least you were thanked for trying out. Best of luck with that R!

yes, its in the dealer showroom at msrp. i checked the sticker on the ford/dealer website and its exactly what i want. i also had an oasis report run just to be thorough. im aware the owners kit comes later but does the car itself come with a basic owners manual with a leather "ford performance" pouch like raptors do? i will have the car shipped and i want to make sure im getting everything it is supposed to have from the dealers end.

so far everything is smooth so we will see how this plays out.

Sounds terrific and congratulations.:like::like:

Based on the previous R models that I have purchased there is no leather FP pouch for these cars at least one did not come with my Base R's.

After having taken delivery of 3 R models I would strongly suggest that you inspect your car in person prior to getting it shipped from your dealership as there is a great deal of due diligence to take care of when taking delivery of an R model at least that is my experience and hopefully that will help mitigate any issues when your R model finally arrives at home in New Jersey.

What color/stripes and options does your car come with and what is your chassis number?

:)

That sounds to be a great deal on 2020 R w/ exact specs you desire! If this dealer is on his game and not 1st one he has sold , then needn't be overly concerned of his PDI procedures. I would be certain to speak directly to mgr. listing exactly how you expect car to be readied for you. ( Splitter install, NO car wash!, removal of interior/exterior protective items on steering wheel, seats, CFdash trim, frt. bumper, door edge guards, door handle, stickers inside windows, vehicle Window Sticker, install Camber Plates?, install Gurney Flap?, desired alignment settings IF doing Camber Plates, ....). Then follow-up immediately with email of same requests to have documentation should you have issues later w/ follow-thru. Honestly, that's a long trip to p/u. I would discuss w/ dealer making arrangements for transport; they gladly do this all the time. Get his quotes for transport, perhaps ck w/ a couple other companies and weigh pros/cons. Best to ya!

for 2020 the caster camber plates are factory on the R. most of the protective coverings have been removed but the dealer is in the middle of no where so probably not to many tire kickers or people around it. it has not left the show room floor since delivered. car has 11 miles on it. i will definitely tell them not to clean it and leave everything as is, did the same with my raptor. we are working on transport and should have all the numbers nailed down in a few days

The camber plates are standard on the R but they are not installed at the factory. Per my current experience, my 2019 R has been at the dealership for 8 days today trying to get the installation of the camber plates done. The selling dealer is paid by Ford Performance for the installation, the plates are shipped separately by FP to the dealership. Make sure they get installed and get proof of the alignment or you will be 17 hours away and paying for this yourself.

Some of the dealerships do not understand this process and I had to get FP involved to get this done. My dealership is a small town also but only an hour away for me.

Up to you but I would ask your dealer to pop the hood and take a photo for you to verify. See post #6 here for the differences.

I was quoted $895 to do the install till I got FP involved. I've also seen a 2020 CFTP GT500 and the camber plates were in a box in the trunk uninstalled.
