I saved my fluid, it only had 3K miles on it, I poured it back in before I put the cover on, I had it standing on the pinion flange to do this.

Usually, when people ask what fluid to run when they do a ring and pinion swap and install a Torsen (and I get that question a lot), I tell them to follow the R&P manufacturer's recommendation. Most LSDs will run in a wide range of oils, whereas the R&P is often very sensitive to having the correct lube. In this case, if you're using the Ford gear set, then stick with the weight/type of oil that is given in the owners manual. The actual brand is less important than most people think.

In this case, the oil 75W85 Generation-3 oil that Ford uses from the factory is pretty slippery and is used because it helps reduce overall drag and improve fuel economy. I think that specific oil weight is somewhat unique, so other than Ford & Redline, there are few choices.
