HPTuners can do this, the whipple tool is not the only option. of course, if your tuner doesn't use HPT or you don't have it, then I guess you need the whipple tool.
Correct but so few are using HPTuners it seems.

Thanks all for the good information. Makes me feel much better. Especially to Jason for the thread about the BCM.

I actually messaged the Lund team yesterday about my issue and Jon II is recommending that the dealership make adjustments to the BCM. So I would assume the nGauge does not do the job. Or he is just very humble and didn't upsell the product. Sounds like an awesome guy, and responded early on a Sunday morning. I'm impressed with his level of customer service; it is true what everyone says about Lund, and it seems pretty hard to find in this industry.

The dealership offered to do this for 79.99, so I'm probably going to go with them for now. It doesn't look like I'd get any other use out of the Whipple product, unless I happen to swap out gears a lot.

Maybe the dealers can do it now but a few month ago they weren't able to.

Try pulling the traction control fuse and see if it cures the problem. you will get a bunch of warning on the dash but I bet it cures it until you can get it fixed with a Tune..

Went ahead and got the flare device from Whipple. I'm hoping this is all I need to get the car up and running again. The dealership quotrd an hour of labor each for PCM and BCM flash so I just decided to go eith the device instead.

Got the Whipple and worked like a charm. Flashes everything in literally a split second.

Car feels great and no sounds or whine that I've noticed tet. Although looking in hindsight this ended up being quite a bit more costly than I first expected. Learned alot though about the car and will enjoy the feel here on through.

Thanks again Jason for the info about the Whipple flare. I wouldve been very sad today if a SCT tuner came in and didn't fix the issue.

Gears and install kit: 300
Labor: 400 (this is high; I couldn't find a reputable shop to do this for anything cheaper - i got quoted everything from 400 to 850 from a dealership... Lol. Supposedly there is a bit more work involved with the new IRS system)
Whipple device: 275.00

So yes this was about 400 more than I expected haha... But I really like the feel of the torque added with the gears.

Probably unlikely but could a malfunctioning speed sensor be the cause?

275 bucks for a little thing like that...good grief. That sucks. Grrrrrr

Anybody in socal i can borrow one from lol. 275s bucks just sounds crazy for something like that. Almost as expensive as a sct tuner...
