2nd gen coyote thrust bearing failure

I have a 15 Mustang, with the 50 the thrust bearings. Look like they failed. Because the front crank seal was pushed into the timing cover and the timing cover has that Marx from the harmonic balancer. Rubbing against it. My question is number one, can I replace the thrust bearing? Without too much trouble, not worried about pulling the oil PAN. But do I have to pull the crankshaft? Second question, what caused it to fail? It's an automatic. Did it fail because the torque converter was ballooning? I'm running about 800 rear wheel horsepower, so it's very possible. I appreciate any help I can get
