Same boat, been “produced, not released” since 9/6. Blend date 9/1.

I think we can eliminate trim packages from being the culprit, as based on the replies today/recently it looks like this group of us stuck in purgatory are made up of every different combination possible.

Can’t fly to go pick her up now until mid October anyways, so it is what it is. I just hope to free her from PA before the snow starts, my southern ass wouldn’t survive the drive home LOL
I'm hoping mine is here before the winter too. I need to do some work on her before Toronto's brutal winter starts and get the tires changed too. I guess its just a waiting game...

And yes, no specific combination of packages seems to be the reason for the hold up. I believe it may be safety related, as I spoke to the Ford Support guy and he told me its after production that they perform safety checks in a few cycles before releasing the vehicles.

Also noticed the production dates on the Ford tracker do not match my dealer's tracker. According to my dealer's tracker my vehicle was produced 09/13. However, on the Ford tracker it BEGAN production 09/13. Blend date is still 09/09. Odd

It begins production about a week before BLEND, but does not get a date on the timeline until BUILT. If I remember correctly.

It’s until “Produced”. Built is the next stage, similar terms but different meaning

I just reviewed my timeline. Date for IN PRODUCTION showed on the BLEND date, although production of chassis and body commenced about a week earlier and the dot appeared.

Called Ford support today to get any updates since my dealer doesn’t seem to know. Guy on the phone told me to expect car “beginning to END of OCTOBER”. Keep in mind my delivery window was 17-23 September and the car was built 9/13. Really disheartened as I was expecting it this week or the next, being only 4 hours away from the plant.
My delivery window was last week and now is Oct 12 - 16 for a car I ordered in March. I told the dealer that since the 23s are now open for ordering and the 24s are also announced that my order will be a used car by the time I take delivery. My salesman assures me that the dealer will offer some type of additional incentives. I'll be happy if the car is delivered by Christmas.
If this is the new model for ordering cars, I will probably stick with my older Honda from now on. Major Ford fail.

I would say the emails don’t really serve much purpose. I have 4 emails from ford. Order confirmation, production scheduled, production rescheduled, and supply chain issues email. The only thing they were really good for was giving me the vin so I could use the tracker website. So if you got that info you really have all you need.
Ford told me last night that the tracker for my car hasn't been updated in a month.

Yeah, that’s the downside. I’m in a similar boat as my tracker hasn’t changed since 8/29.

But I still check 2-3 a day hoping beyond hope for some movement.

I would love additional incentives, but just sucks because I would've ordered a premium if I knew I was getting more money off.

I have no idea and maybe @Wingnutzz can chime in, but do the verts have to go through extra checks that the coupes don’t because of all the extra bracing? Maybe that’s part of your hang up? You and I have the same build week so yours should be done by now.

Ford Performance still had zero update as of this AM besides my new projected delivery date of 9/30-10/6.

At this point, my question is this: has *anyone* received a car since MAGS1? It seems like since he got his that there has been an incredibly long drought across the board, which leads me to believe there is a bigger picture issue than we’re considering.

Has anyone looked at Bronco/Maverick/F-150 forums recently? Curious to see if they’re all stuck in a similar waiting period right now.

Bronco and Maverick have been a crapshoot with tons of delays, I wouldn't use that as a direct comparison. Mustang is closer to the F150 as its been a similar design for years but the options are so different. I wish Ford would give more info than "53,000 vehicles we cant ship that are mostly high trim trucks and suv's"

Yeah I just went through the F150 one and it seems like they’ve had hilarious amounts of chip holds all summer, and all those trucks showed as “Produced” while they waited (looks like average wait time was 4-8 weeks after “Produced). However the difference is all those guys were alerted by Ford with actual “chip shortage” emails explaining the delay, and delay explanation would show up on the Ford Performance side as well. We’re not getting any sort of information like that at all, and neither is FP chat.

Yep I've read that too, they would get moved to In Production as the primary status and Chip Hold as the secondary status.

For those people that are unscheduled, looks like they are already handing out dates as far as October 31 for production. Getting close to the Nov cutoff date. Don't cancel the order, it may roll over with priority. Of course if the dealer doesn't mind you can place an additional order for a 23.
