if the thefts happened at 2:00AM 9/12 and my order was updated 9/12 I would think that would mean my car was actually finished during work hours on the 12 which would be after the theft.

sure hope so, my wife is tired of sharing her car all the time

Thieves in Detroit are ruthless though, I had a friend who lived in Detroit who had his charger stolen out of his back yard while he was sleeping.. they drug it out with another vehicle, got it around the corner from his house ran one side of it into the wall in the alley way, stole just the 2 wheels off the side they had access to and left it.. I believe currently a lot of GM vehicles, I think Malibu in particular, they steal the air bag off the steering wheel and even the entire steering column, in and out in under a minute, I believe the air bags are worth about $500.. it's wild.. lol

My wife’s not into cars (she tolerates my obsession with them) but even she said she hopes mine wasn’t stolen. Probably cuz she doesn’t want to hear me talk about it anymore, especially if mine was taken and the clock restarts lol

I can confirm... Last time I was in Chicago I got my wallet lifted @ the Ghirardelli Ice Cream shop near the DuSable bridge at like 2 in the afternoon... You think TSA is up in your business when you fly, try doing it with no ID because you are on vacation and you got your wallet stolen...

That sucks! Thankfully I don’t live in the city but I do work in the city. Head is always on a swivel. Luckily I’ve never had to fly without ID, I can only imagine how awful that experience is.

I hear ya! I used to travel to TX a bunch for work. Always liked it down there, except in July and August. I thought it got humid here but holy hell Houston is unbearable in August.

I grew up not to far front South Parde Island, TX pretty much the same environment as Houston. It’s humid as hell. You walk outside and break a sweat. I still live in TX but not near the water, it’s nice being able to work for 30 minutes before I break a sweat.

Yeah, thieves in Detroit are quite crafty.. usually these places are barbed wired in with guard shacks.. I should take a ride down there and see if it's as much of a joke as it seemingly is.. would have to assume that the keys are left in them if they can just jump in and pull off. Which I suppose makes sense, would be damn near impossible to store the keys somewhere till the truck shows up.

rotating laser-aimed 50-cal machine-gun turrets should do the job. Or 40w plasma Terminator rifle on similar mount. Oh wait, we've already got these robotic dogs from Boston Dynamics, we just need some of those sentries roaming with attack mode enabled.

if they stole any custom builds do you guys think ford would do anything to ease the pain?
like in the form of dollars? cause this is a serious security fail.

I would hope so. It’s happened a few times this year with a few instances being GT500’s. Not sure if anyone in the 500 section was affected but if they were maybe they have some insight?

I just received an updated production week email. It was pushed back a week. Hopefully it comes before the snow.
