Update: Today was the last day of my second delivery window. Chapman emailed me this morning that the car is still in New Boston Michigan and that my new delivery window is August 30 - Sept 5th. I have no reason to believe this date either so...

Very disappointing but not unexpected.

I told the dealer Im going to need about $2500 off the price of the car (Delivery fee + $1000 PITA tax) and ill need a car to drive until mine arrives. They denied the request and effectively canceled my order.

What a joke.

This sucks to hear. That's a pretty sad way to see things go. I'm at the end of my second window today also. Called Ford CR and they had nothing new. Waiting to hear back from the dealer, but I'm afraid I'm going to get the same answer.

Thanks! This will be my 4th Miata. Very excited. I got lucky that an inbound car at a local dealer was exactly the spec I would order.

I hope everyone else out there waiting for a car has a better experience then I did. My advice would be to have a Plan B ready as a backup. The dealers and Ford don't seem to care what so ever how long you wait. I think they assume because you waited this long your unlikely to back out now.

If my car ends up being delivered during this 3rd window it will be 64-73 days after I got the "shipped" email. Maybe having a clearer picture of the wait time will set more realistic expectations for those of you still waiting and you won't be disappointed when it doesn't show up.

Guys, it's just me that I'm impatient or what?
My car switched to "in production" maybe on 8/8, then on 8/10 the date appeared as long as all the modules in AsBuilt and vehicle information on ETIS (which lists 8.10 as build date).

Why it's not appearing the blue checkmark in the "in production" and status moves to Built?

I patiently waited in line and never complained, but this time I'm failing to understand, what are your experiences about this?

Mine took over a week to convert from this status. Then it was built one day, shipped the next, and delivered as promised via convoy. Hope it swaps soon for you!

well it keeps getting closer...
ordered 2/18
scheduling kept getting pushed back and back and back again.
finally it stuck. scheduled for week of 8-1
actually was in production a week prior and showed completed on 8-2
8-4 they emailed me saying shipped with a 8-22 to 28 delivery
today i checked with ford performance and they said it shows in transit from New Boston on 8-13 By CSX
checking CSX time tables to my area that showed 9 days to release to dealer. so that would be 8-22 to dealer
Lets keep the fingers crossed she will be delivered then!!!!


she is a 401A GT premium GT/CS in MP convertible 10spd. with active exhaust and B&O sound.

Mine was 239/396 with a blend date of 8/5/22. I think mine started production later than the window sticker says though.

Did they let you know if it was already on a rail car or give you a number for the car? I'm just assuming mine has been sitting the parking lot waiting on a rail car for a few weeks now. But, if yours is on and going by CSX, gives me more hope for mine!
