New User here. I've placed my first ever order for a new car. I ordered loaded Eruption Green GT Premium 6spd with Recaro, PP, Magna, B&O, Active Exhaust, and Spoiler delete. Order placed 7/9/22 was told by dealer that would be 4-6 weeks. Pretty much what I'm seeing here is it looks like 4-6 months. I read somewhere that production of the 2023 starts the Monday after thanksgiving this year. I am wondering if anyone knows if Ford will bump my car to a 2023 VIN or will they pretty much get it built before the model year switches. Essentially will they kill the order if they can't get to it, or just push it back until they can even if it means building it as a 23?

Scheduling for October builds will likely be 8/18 with cleanup scheduling the following week (8/25). November builds will be scheduled in September. If you don’t get scheduled, your order will likely be cancelled and you’ll have to reorder a 2023. As mentioned above, it appears color choices will be limited for MY 2023 and EG does not appear to have made the cut. Fingers crossed you get scheduled if you really want EG!

You got your email confirmation from Ford, right? Should have arrived same day as your order.

It took me a hair over 4 weeks to go from Order Confirmed to Scheduled. Assuming Ford has your order they should be scheduling you soon.

I don't remember the dealer getting my email. I have not seen a confirmation. I did call them back about 4 days later because they screwed up an option and the salesman said he had the inventory manager fix it and he texted me a photo of the revised "order summary" showing the correct options I wanted. (they had not added b&o.... tried telling me it was included with premium)

My car has said built since 7/27 and has a current eta of 8/10-8/16. Does anyone know how long it will take to say it has shipped?

Hard to guess. Mine took 3 days, but then took 3 weeks via truck to go to Granger.

(they had not added b&o.... tried telling me it was included with premium)

You should have a print out of your order with your order number and the dealer code. If you have that, you can do a chat with Ford Performance and they can verify your status

ok update. Thanks for the information i called the dealer and think i feel better about it. he was able to give me a authorization number which he said was from ford basically saying they have the order. They DID NOT have my email. He updated it, and told me it was updated in fords system so that when a VIN is issued I will get an email from Ford... not them. i guess the only thing to do now is keep an eye out for a ford email.

Still sitting in Flat Rock, "awaiting shipping" for a week now.

Hoping it gets loaded before it gets hailed on or stolen.....

My dealer told me he has had a car waiting for 3 weeks in the shipment lot, and they are 3 and a half hours from flat rock. Apparently car haulers are in very limited supplies my cars blend date is 8/3 I'm expecting to see it in early September.

For all the new folks coming in with timing despair... My Mustang on order is 401a, 6MT, PP, Magneride, with Active Exhaust, in Purple, placed at a medium sized dealer in a small/medium sized city.

I ordered mine on 6/4, got a build date 4 weeks later, and now have a blend date for 8/8 according to the window sticker. That's two months from order to blend, plus another 2-3 weeks for delivery and inspection.

3 months from order to delivery is pretty good timing these days, and if you've placed an order recently, you're probably going to have equally great (or better) timing.

I feel you OP, my dealer also forgot to add the B&O (deal breaker for me), luckily i caught it on the WBO and they fixed it with Ford before the order locked our for changes…I got order confirmed and scheduled for production very fast. Ordered 7/16, and got my confirmation email on 7/19 and was scheduled for production on 7/21 in the same week. I ordered a 2022 GT Premium, 6-Speed, 401A, PP, Active Exhaust, Magnaride & B&O audio upgrade with Grabber Blue exterior and midnight blue interior. Gonna be a sick car, I dont get why everyone wants to delete the performance rear wing but to each their own! Waiting is the hard part now!

Probably put the jinx on ever getting scheduled today by making some changes to my order. No big deal since it’s only been a couple of weeks since I submitted the original order. Had initially ordered a GT in Atlas Blue, active exhaust, AT, 3.55, security pkg, 401a and the 20” wheels with mini tire. Decided today I wanted something a little more aggressive looking and a color I’m more familiar with. Changed the color to Rapid Red with Show Stopper interior and the Black Accent pkg. now all I have to do is manage to get it scheduled. I noticed on another thread that Granger was told they have received allocations for all their orders. Hopefully Chapman will get the same.

ya, I went in with my print out of the build and they copied it. BUT when he copied it he only selected the options that where showing a dollar amount. at the end we could not figure out why the online build and the one the dealer did was just over $1000 less than what I had come up with. it bugged me and I kept looking over the paperwork and redoing the build and eventually figured out that b&o was not adding an amount to the total. the new build "am/fm single cd and HD radio $995.00" and right below it "B&O sound system, 12 spkr $0" careful of that guys. If i had not caught it, it would have been a deal breaker for me too. I did not mention above, mine is also a 401. I hope i get as lucky as you and mine is built soon.

update for anyone who saw my earlier post. I have now received my email order confirmation from fomoco. I still don't have have an order number. The dealer told me my order was approved on 7/14. which would be the day after i made them add the B&O, so I guess it looks good for now.

Your order number should be on the WBDO form you signed with all your options and selections itemized. It is listed there as order code. Once you get your VIN emailed, you can check the status portal. Honestly most customers ordering know more about the model year order guides than the dealers themselves.

And today I received the BUILT email from Ford, but the ETA to my dealer in Colorado given as 18-24Aug.

Yesterday the Order Tracking site updated to reflect that my car is BUILT and AWAITING SHIPPING.
7/19 IN PRODUCTION, INVOICED, STICKER
7/26 BLEND
7/28 BUILD DATE
7/28 Confirmed PRODUCED, but not yet released, ETA to dealer 13-19Aug by FP
