I ordered from Chapman Ford in Pennsylvania which isn’t local, but they’re a large volume dealer IIRC.

The process is super frustrating. I still really want the car, but part of me is tempted to wait and see what next generation looks like and part of me wants to jump ship to a different v8 coupe of some kind…
We had a great experience with them in November but it was to buy our C8! We flew to penn and drove the car back! It’s frustrating building though! Good luck!!!

Ordered my car (gt 301a balck accent package and active exhaust) on 12/17/21. Cqr was built on 2/14/22. Car was released on 2/27/22. Delivery date is today. Just got this text from my dealer saying the deliverly date has changed to MAY 11th!?! So the car is gonna sit in flat rock for 2-3 months before it can be delivered? Freaking ridiculous Ford. This is so incredibly frustrating.

Can you go pick it up? We ended up flying to penn to get our C8 and drive it back! We got tired of waiting! Wonder if ford would allow it!

Well, this is odd.

Got an email this week with a scheduled build date for the week of May 2. Got the VIN also.

When I check the link in that email today, I get this message: "This vehicle is not yet available in order tracking at this time, please check back later."

Wonder what that's about....
Anytime they’re updating or somehting is changing on your car that pops up. It’s not the greatest communication. Emails are the best bet or contact your build sales person and they can see more on their end.

Thanks. From reading here, seems that many got a similar message when they tracked their vehicles over the weekend.

I was able to confirm with Ford Motorsport chat that my built date was still on track.

So... it just hit me what might be going on with you guys who have completed cars awaiting shipment. I know that with BMW, they'll build a car and ship it and it can then sit at the port in the USA for weeks or months as they wait for a missing component, usually something with microprocessors in it, like radios.

I wonder if that's what's going on with some of our Mustangs: They're built but missing one or more small components, so that's why it appears to take two months to find a truck. It's really just waiting for the truck that will bring the kulgenfelter interface chip for the Uhgkert module.

Good morning all! New to the forum, not new to Mustangs. That's a long, sad story for another day though...

Ordered on January 13 a 2022 Mach 1 Premium, all options, 6 speed manual, Grabber Blue, Performance package, Recaro Seats etc...

No information as of yet, just the email from Ford saying "not yet"

Maybe I am seeing this wrong but it appears that any car with Magneride is taking forever.

FYI, first car 1964.5 all original Mustang, bought when I was 15. Sold by parents when I Joined the Marines at 21...

Just checked and for Next Week They will be Scheduling Build Dates for the weeks starting with May 2, May 9, May 16 & May 23. Says Clean up scheduling.
So we still have a chance for a May build. Lots of people getting notifications today too.

So based on this, if we don’t hear tomorrow for a May date then God knows where we’ll be. I guess we can hope there will be June dates scheduled next week, but looks like we’ll be hurting if we’re still unscheduled/clean through this Friday. I know I ordered later than most but getting it in September/October and having to immediately replace the summer tires on the PP is going to be such a kick in the dick.

Didn't you just order it 2 weeks ago? And I'm sure you'll get it in June at the latest, patience my man.

yep 3/17… not expecting miracles, I went in assuming late July/Early August to keep my expectations in check. A build date, whenever it is, would just be nice for piece of mind, as I still expect it to take ~6 weeks post production to actual delivery. Seeing the December & before orders still outstanding is nerve wracking, I don’t want to get booted into the 2023 MY especially if there’s any design changes.

Yes, those of us who have had our orders on the books for 5 months or more feel the same way. I would feel much better having a build date and VIN.

You're a little delusional thinking that you'd have a build date in two weeks, especially in these crazy times. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if you jump past people who've been waiting much, much longer, especially Mach 1 orders. Let's hope that none of use get booted to MY2023.

Oh yeah, I wasn’t expecting a damn thing this soon until folks in here with mid March orders started getting build dates last week - definitely made me delusional especially since they were pretty similar to my own. Completely feel for the guys who placed in the Fall and agree they’ve got way more reason to be antsy than I do, no qualms there at all.
