I wouldnt use painters plastic. The tape isn't going to hold it down well enough and then you'll have plastic flapping on your paint and cause damage.
If you can't get trakk tape fast enough, get blue painters tape. Cover the front bumper, leading edge of hood, rear impact areas and aft of the wheels.
Order a roll of trakk tape to hold you over until your PPF appointment.

You can use clear self adhesive vinyl shelf liner.
Cheap. Thick. Flexible. The adhesive is strong enough to hold and doesn't leave residue.

The painter's tape is a good option since you don't have time to get the trac wrap. "Most" reputable shops will take care of your car and respect your wishes not to Rev it. Try to pick a shop that also does many high-end (super expensive) cars. Not saying your car is not high end.....you know what I mean.

^^^ I agree, if you cant get trakk tape or road wrap, then just get 3 rolls of the blue painters tape and go to town.
