2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Tuning limitations?

As the title suggests...

I am hunting for gen3's as well now that my gen2 hunt has proven fairly futile (folks are buried up their own behind's as far as asking near MSRP for their ran through cars)... Gen3's seem to be really close behind.

I am curious though; what limitations come with these model years and tuning or aftermarket parts?

My plan is ESS centri blower, coilovers, steeda suspension improvements, water/meth, id1300x , fore fuel, e85, Lund tune, DSS driveline improvements, eventually a calimer trans.


Anyone know off the top if there are any limitations for the years mentioned and these mods as well as tuning goes? I don't want to buy a gen3 that's going to hold me back as the tuners wait for tables to be unlocked.

There are guys making over 1,000rwhp with ESS... No issues with my 2021.. 22s are fine for tuning, can't speak on the 23s.. I would assume you will have no trouble getting tuned though.

As it was explained to me

"21+ isn't fully unlocked" vs 15-20 have access to every parameter necessary. This may be a lund only thing? That is who I'd like to tune my ride.

It would be nice to be able to look at 21s and 22s as well for more colors and selection.

2021 here with over 900 whp on an ESS and no issues with tuning at all. Maybe reach out to another tuner and see if they give you the same response.

Just spoke to Nardi over at Lund… love dealing with these folks.

He said 18-23 won’t matter for my goals.

Seems like I’ll be widening my net as far as my search goes.

Here’s to hoping I find a 301a performance pack car without too much more digging… it’s been exhausting

I plan on placing my first stage order as soon as I figure out who’s going to install stuff that I can’t stomach installing myself.

whats the delivered price on the Vortech kit? I personally like the ess install location but I’ve ran a procharger before. I don’t like running another pulley on top of the crank unless it has more ribs for slippage reasons.

everything should be compatible on a 23

The only thing that may not be included at the moment as some of the tuning strategies
