The Ranger that I had 20 years ago (1997 model) was great, it was small, light and decently capable. I am afraid that the new one will become a mini-F150, which probably would not be so small and so light, in tradeoff of being more capable. My 1997 with the tow package and upgraded tires (265) could go anywhere, never got it stuck even in some pretty muddy conditions.
