I think on the Ford tracker I've seen 14-28 days in transit.

...What length of time have others had from build date to delivery?
A month to 1.5 months sounds about right. Details are in my signature, but it was a month between blend date and actual delivery for me. I'm about 2- 3 days train ride further south than you. However, many factors can affect actual delivery. How many cars they have ready to transport on the train, when is the train ready, how many cars do they have to take from train station to dealer, etc etc.

note that the estimated delivery date fluttered most during that time period.

I have a build date of 5/9/2019. I was told by Ford Performance Chat I can expect the car to be delivered in late June. This seems pretty long for a delivery in South Carolina.

FP says my estimated build week is 6/10, edd 6/22, granted my dealer is in southern Indiana.

Finally took delivery of it yesterday 5/1/2019. I got a call from my salesman on 4/30/2019 that he had it coming in that mid afternoon. Guess it's time to update the Signature, and start this journey that's bound to be super enjoyable! :handsinair: That was one stupidly long wait though. :whew: Enjoy some pics:

Sounds a bit long. Mine spent a week at "Awaiting Shipping", a week awaiting loading on a train after shipper acceptance ("In Transit" but not moving), a week on the train to Massachusetts, and 3 days at the receiving train yard before getting on a truck to the dealer.

FPC may be sandbagging it.

I had a build date of 4/16 and received delivery on 4/26. This really did not correspond to info. provided by the Ford Tracking site. Once your car has been built and is waiting for shipping scheduling, the tracking site estimates for EDD and IN TRANSIT will not be very accurate. I would suspect a longer estimate for delivery would prepare the waiting owner
should unexpected delays occur. Getting the car sooner than EDD would undoubtedly be welcomed. JMO

Good Luck Captain Skippy.

Well my car got delivered to the dealership Yesterday! Unfortunately have to wait till Monday to pick it up since the guy who's buying my car through a courtesy trade can't make it before then... on the bright side it'll give them time to tint my windows before I pick it up.
Here's the rundown from my ordering experience:
  • Order 2/20
  • Vin number 3/28 (I believe it was created before then but only got it from my dealer on that date)
  • Build date 4/10 with EDD of 4/25 - 5/1
  • In transit 4/12 with EDD of 4/18 - 4/24
  • In transit through Toronto 4/15 (this update stayed on the system till 4/30, EDD moved to 5/3-5/9 on that date)
  • Delivered 5/2
  • Picking up on 5/6
Took about 10-11 weeks for the whole process. Last 2 weeks have been a little nerve wracking since I had a EDD of 4/18 - 4/24 at one point and the car didn't show up till 5/2...

Initially, I ordered the vehicle since I have an X-plan discount and I'd pay the same price for a car sitting on the lot than I would for a car that I ordered. So I figured might as well get exactly what I want, since no dealers in the area had the car that I wanted when I was shopping in february.
Now that the process is over, I found a few cars in the area which are basically identical to mine. Some of them at prospect dealers I went to... maybe they got inspired by my simple build. Additionally, not sure X-plan is the way to go after seeing some of the posts in the community, seems like some of you guys get better deals without it.

The car I got is a 301A 6M with active exhaust, magnetic grey. That color, V8 and manual was a must for me.

The reason I wanted this spec vs. more expensive ones is because I plan on making modifications to it that in my mind gave me more practicality and bang for my buck.

Went with the 18in rims since I plan on driving the car year round and putting winter tires on those rims and buying a set for the summer. Additionally, no PP on the car cause I didn't want to have to run 19s for my winter rims and I don't plan on tracking the car so don't really need the bigger brakes. Could've went for the black accent package but I can do all the black accents myself and I didn't really like the 19s that came with that package, rather save the money (1600 CAD) and buy my own and keep the 18s for winters.
301A because I wanted the better infotainment system that came with it (along with a few other features), and no need for nav with android auto and google maps or waze.
Active exhaust because I liked the feature and a good exhaust system is about what the option would cost. If it's not loud enough an x-pipe will help with that.
I like the 400A for the leather seats but the price jump of 4636 CAD wasn't worth it for me. I don't really like vented seats, and I can install katzkins and heaters for like 1500 CAD. All the other stuff that came with the 400A I didn't really care for.

Hopefully one day this might help someone make their decision a little easier on whether to order or not and what they want to buy.

Looking forward to officially being a mustang owner on Monday. Going from a 2014 chevy cruze to this should be fun! Sure makes for a nice graduation gift to myself

Yep Barilda and others your going to love your car.

No need to jutisfy special order specs. that you have chosen. The fact is you will receive a 460 HP technically advanced daily driven muscle car that exceeds the performance of just about all available autos in it's class and with a price tag that is obtainable for the average Joe, and that my friend is basis enough.

I don’t have a build date yet, but my edd is 7/18. I think it’s kind of ridiculous that I ordered it in February and I have a auto show rebate that expires on July 1st. The last 6 of my VIN is 191953. Is it close to your car ?

I've been told that they aren't build in numerical VIN number. So it's impossible to know if two builds are close or not.
