Just got an email from my guy at the dealer and was told the car is leaving the plant on Friday the 17th and it should be delivered to the dealer around the 24th....If that actually happens, it will be a total of 81 days or 11 1/2 weeks from Dealer Order to Delivery!

That's the regular waiting time for a special order. Dealer usually say between 10-12 weeks. But if they are honest, they'll tell you 12-14 is closer to the real delivery date.

11 1/2 weeks is amazing even though it should be normal. So many people wait much longer than that. They told me when I ordered it that it would more than likely be about 12 weeks and so far they're holding true to it and maybe just a little earlier.

The ones who waited longer had the steering issues or ordered a PP2 before the winter.

Yep, and some had allocation issues along with parts shortages.:curse:

Sure do enjoy my Stang GT. I have only put 550 miles on it since 4/24 Been raining a lot. Did a do it yourself Ceramic coating the past couple of days. May not do that again.

Sounds like allocation issues. Dam that can get frustrating. Waiting without any clue. Dealers don't like to admit taking special orders without allo's.

I thought my dealership was bad, I ordered mine on 2-18, I finally got the VIN on April 19th. It shows that the order was placed on 3/22 that was over a month after I ordered it, and shows a delivery date of July 18th that will be 5 months not the 8 to 10 weeks they told me..

I have decided to cancel. Found one in stock at a dealer. It has Recaros though. I didn't want them. Also the wrong color.

For the amount of money these things run, I think patience is the best approach so you can get what you want. Sucks to have to buy something for money you're throwing at it that isn't exactly what you want.

Getting closer. How long have most waited for the in transit period? I know it is being transported on a truck and to South Carolina.
