Usually they have a 2 week shutdown as they switch over from one model year to the next, but for some reason this year they wanted to build a few hundred cars first and then do the shutdown. Great idea, and for our Canadian friends it seems to have been a benefit since they'll get their cars sooner. For me and many others, our cars didn't make it out in time and are likely to just sit for the next 2 weeks. My COTUS still won't update and is saying delivery is tomorrow...:doh:
The dealer I ordered my car from is only 3 hours from the factory, yet no joy for me yet. I think you just got lucky with your car getting loaded onto a truck before the cutoff or there's a different process for Canadian cars that allowed them to not get held up like the rest of ours.

Correct! Once a car is on a train, Ford appears to lose tracking on it until it reaches it's destination. Today is 'in transit' day 48 for my '18 to arrive at a Canadian west coast dealership. That's a month and half since it was shipped! COTUS tracking was nothing but a guessing game until it arrived in Vancouver B.C. After nothing on COTUS for 2 weeks, it now says EDD August 1!! My dealer called Ford Canada yesterday and was told it will be delivered tomorrow or Monday. We'll see.
