I'm looking to purchase a new GT350 sometime next year or so. Has it been confirmed that 2018 is the last hurrah? Or do you guys think they will continue it for 2019 with a refresh, direct injection, and some other goodies?

I believe its been stated the 18 run will be shorter than 16 and 17 because its the last year. At least for this version. As no GT500 has been announced yet it MAY be that a new GT350 is in the works.

Good because I have no interest in a CPC GT500 no matter how much power it has. That just seems like a step down to me. If Ferrari can do factory forced induction with a FPC on the 488, why can't Ford? I understand its probably a lot more high maintenance, but they still did it for a factory car. Maybe Ford doesn't want to go below 5 liters.

I honestly believe that there will be some form of the GT350 throughout the life cycle of the S550. Heck, who really knows. They may ditch it for another short run halo Mustang (say, Mach 1 maybe), but I don't believe we'll see a FI Mustang before the S650.

Get ready to be disinterested then. Based on the introduction of the CPC engine in the Mustang GT4, I believe that whatever the successor to the GT350 is, it will have a CPC engine.

Note that all of the above is just my own opinion, based on what I've observed in the past. YMMV.

Guess what we have then as owners of the GT350 is an experiment?

I just got back from Track Attack, the instructors made mention of a new GT500 driving program in the works, just like the GT350 driving program . Nothing more but a bunch of secretive smiles.

Less displacement.. more money is how Ferrari does it. There really is no advantage to the fpc.. the cpc can make more power and rev just as high. Prime example is the 5.2l aluminator xs.

The fpc is done after the 350. Take that to the bank.

I would like to respectfully disagree to "There really is no advantage to the fpc." The SOUND! My god, THE SOUND. Worth it. Best sounding factory exhaust of any car I have ever heard.

Do you have any idea how insanely overbuilt the Aluminator XS is? To compare that to the Voodoo is silly, even if the crank technologies are that polar.

And yes, I would be inclined to believe the Voodoo and 180 degree cranks are done.

And more valve tuning capabilities. Don't underestimate how big something so "small" can be.

I would bet FPC keeps going beyond 2018, with upgrades to make it less "risky"

Doubt it. It's even in several Ford Performance literatures saying that they want to keep the FPC exclusive to the GT350 only. It's even in the Aluminator 5.2 XS foot notes.
