So I got 19 gt with whipple kit and also installed is level 3 fore innovations setup. Car runs good on first round of tuning...no issues this far. My question pertains to the fore innovations setup....it seems the pumps continue to run sometimes when the car is cut off and also when i open and close the door. I'm sure the pumps are doing something but i just would like to know what is normal and what to expect with the pumps and how and when they run?

Not sure about why it is running when you shut the car off, but the only thing I can think of when you open your door is that the pump is re-pressurizing the fuel lines. My truck is set up like this as well. You may want to contact Fore Innovations.

Congrats on your new car...sounds like a helluva ride!

Well, what's odd is on my way back, I stopped for 1 hour to rest and when I cut the car off, the pumps kept running for like 10 mins then they shut off. I didn't think much about it. Then when I woke up, I tried cranking the car and it turned over for about 6 seconds and then fired right up. Sort of told me that there might not have been fuel in the line or something for it to spin over and not crank right away. Now, when I stop for a quick minute, I notice the pumps cut off and then I can crank the car right back up and no delay. But I notice when I open the door, the pumps kick on. Or maybe when I shut the door, then they kick back on.
Its weird. I would think when the power is killed, then pumps stop. When car cranks, then pumps start up.
Not saying anything is wrong, just trying to figure out what is expected with this type of fuel system.
Overall, very impressed with the car and man does it have a touchy throttle. geezus. barely tap the pedal and she's a moving.

I would talk to Fore to be sure but being that it is a true return style fuel system It could be doing lots of things. If the pumps have a temperature control it could be running them at low load to cool off after a drive. As for when the door opens, that sounds like it was probably programmed into the tune to prevent long crank times. Stock the fuel system primes when the brake pedal is pressed before start up, but if you have larger fuel lines and rails it might take more time to build necessary pressure to start so the tuner has the car set up to run the pump when the door is opened.... on the flip side, it could also be an issue with how it’s wired. Like if the pumps are wired to come on any time there is accessory power that would also explain priming when the door opens and why they run for a bit after the car is off since accessorypower would stay on for a bit longer after the car is off... ultimately, I would talk to Fore or whoever did the install.
