Last year I replaced the battery in my 2019 Mustang GT. Since then I’ve been having to do the battery reset because the remoteless unlock will quit working and the sensors for backing up. When I reset it, it works fine for a few days and then it quits working. The voltage will drop to 13, but will go back to 14. Not sure if it’s a bad battery.

Reads like your the original Owner, yes? Has the car always had battery/electrical issues, or is this recent?

By "battery reset", do you mean a BMS reset? Something else?

The replacement timeframe of the original is not unusual. How did you determine it was time to replace?

The new battery, is it the same spec (CCA) or better than the orginal? Have you had the new battery tested? The behavior being seen now, is it the same as before? Or has something changed yet again?

Are you driving the car often enough (let's say, every few weeks), and long enough (let's say 30+ minutes at a time) to keep the battery juiced up?

Are you using a tender? Do you have any accessories plugged in which might be draining the system? Any recent changes to the car's electrical system (sound system, tender, gopro, etc.)?

Is the car giving any alarms, codes or other indicators something is not right?

I am the original owner, I replaced the battery after it wouldn’t start and jumping wouldn’t do the trick. As far as driving the longest I go without driving is 1 day. I didn’t notice these issues prior to the battery being changed. The only other thing I’ve noticed acting strange is sometimes when I turn the heat on the air it blows is always cold. It doesn’t warm up ever. Not sure if that would even be related. I disconnected the battery recently and reconnected it and it seemed fine for almost a week.

and yes I mean the BMS.

the brand of battery I believe is DieHard Gold Battery: 96R

I checked for a battery reference from two separate catalogs. The battery appears to be the correct size for a replacement, yes.

I replaced the battery after it wouldn’t start and jumping wouldn’t do the trick.
That interests me, along with the other tells you provided.

Replacing the battery when you did would not be unusual, right? The replacement battery could be bad; that happens.

The other symptoms though...it's like after BMS is reset, the charging and electrical systems have enough whereabouts to keep things going, but maybe then forget, start fading, etc. It's like the charging system is losing its reference point; it's not always sure how much and for how long it should charge things up, until you re-baseline it yet again.

Hopefully this response will gift some more insight on things to check.

I believe I found the issue, quite embarrassing not going to lie 😅.

I left my HP Tuners MPVI3 device plugged in so I’m assuming it’s been draining the battery causing it to go into battery save mode.

Its now unplugged and let’s see if the issue continues.

Big face palm if that was it….

And a good thing if it is.

I'd rather take a palm to the face than face (pun intended) the Dealer with a ghost of an electrical problem.

In the past, someone started a thread about this weird sound or sounds coming from the car, the car starting itself, something. I was weird. It ended up being something he'd setup or done and forgotten about. :giggle: It happens.
