Is it just a blackout panel on parts of the light then or actual different casing? Hard to tell because of the difference in lighting.

My 16 GT/CS rear lights were darker than my 17 GT. The lights are fully smoked to give a darker less bright red look.

Besides the technical features the new CS is highly disappointing imho. Where are the black elements from 16 CS? Especially the darker taillights were awesome.
They didn't even make a Special CS rearpanel and just used the european version and added some red letters that looks totally out of place.
And the fake vent on the fender is horrible.

The 19 CS is nowhere near as awesome the 16 CS :(

And NO Hood Stripes, and don't like the bodywork stripes being moved up the door.
Like the CS on the stripes, and the CS on the mats, but this is it

Yes those scoops were on the previous CS mustangs but no place on this one. With the better throttle response on the 18 rev match isn’t necessary, but is nice to have. Not crazy about those side stripes either. The wheels look over done and not my choice....Oh well !

were not on the 2016 as are not on my one ;), and boy am i pleased they look cheap and tacky and yuck
Prefer my wheels,
they have added a few CS stickers which says CS and on the mats, done away with the hood stripes, and on the 2016 you got a spoiler that was unique to the CS and a strut-tower brace, seems they have got rid of a few big things and given us a few CS stickers, price should be interesting

Interior things I noticed: black seats with red stitching and alcantara seat inserts(and door inserts) with a digital gauge cluster. All of these are new, likely locked to the CS. :(

I am not sure what you mean by “All of these are new”????:shrug: My 2016 has all those things, except the digital gauge cluster of course. :doh:

This color appears like a more true blue than lightning blue, might be the angle though.

Don’t care for the stripe, tacked on scoops or circular rear deck badge. As usual the grill off center badge is great. There was a model (14 my maybe?) that also had a cool spoiler but otherwise I’m not a fan of anything else in the package.
