Hey guys, I recently had whipple send me an updated tune file. I flashed it, then throttle was held to 25%. I emailed them, and was told the IAT sensor on the back of the manifold has to be relocated to bank 2. I reflashed old tune so car drive a fine for now. He explained in email what has to be switched but I'm not 100% on which one to disconnect . he explained that initial instructions were incorrect. Anyone experienced this? Dont want to mess with it unless I am sure of what to do.

I had a similar issue. It’s pretty easy to reach back there and swap it in a few minutes. If you wanted to verify you can read data with the tomahawk. I believe the pid is MCT (manifold charge temp). If it’s plugged in the wrong side it will show like -190 or something crazy.

Hey mike. Great info! Question though, I'm not sure which one to unplug,, there is one I think is it.. It is comming from passenger side.. There is a blue small box looking connection on that line, then there is a plug that is mostly yellow and orange wiring on same line. Whippled also mentioned if I didn't have the sensor on that passenger side that they wouls have to provide one. But I believe that is what the blue box is. Its about 1 1/4" Ă— 1" roughly. I'm pretty sure I'm ok with that cause he said if I didn't have the IAT SENSOR that he talked about , I would have a second open harness in that area. He sent me the revised instructions but they don't really EXPLAIN MUCH Page 17 and page 22 in instructions in case you can look at what I'm seeing. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THIS ISSUE? Oh yea, am I correct in reading that the harness in question goes from a 2 PRONG into a 3 PRONG ? Thanks for the help so far, I am not a mechanic by trade so I get a little nervous switching wires around that I don't know about ya know. Any more clues you can give me would be appreciated.

There is a sensor screwed into the back of the intercooler on the passenger side. This is the IAT sensor. The best thing would be to trace the wire back to the first connector. This is the one you undo and switch to the only other one in the harness in that area that it will plug into.

On mine, I actually had it right the first time. There was an unrelated issue. During troubleshooting, I moved the plug over but later had to move it back.

Mike,,,,, you are the man!!. Yea I know where you are talking about on the passenger side I think. Its a harness with a few different bundles comming off it. That is where the blue box looking thing is located. So the open connector should only be able to plug into one of the ones from the passenger side . So I think I will give it a shot on a bit. When I hook up the tomahawk to reflash it, I should check the menu for a manifold sensor temp reading? You have helped me more than whipple has in a week!!! Thanks man.

Mike,, I am 99% sure I found it and switxhed it. The open one has a blue and white wire,, that is what Joe from whipple emailed me. I finally got a good look in there and saw it. I have now switched and am going to reflash the car and that will obviously tell me if I'm right.. Thanks for your help.

I GOT IT.. I reflashed the new tune and car runs PERFECT. I was reading what you advised along with the emails from Jeff at whipple and I finally was able to move the wires around ENOUGH to see the one wire that was BLUE with a white stripe and the I knew I had the correct harness from what one of the emails said. It was literally the ONLY ONE that had any type of blue wire, also from what you mentioned about following the connection from the blower, etc. And once I got on an open road and hit the gas,,, bammm! No throttle bogging! SUCCESS! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for your help! I was hoping someone out there had experienced this issue. Thanks again mike! .....Scott.. ...✌
