Here is a stupid question. How can you tell the difference between drivetrain and tire vibration

Driveline is more seat-of-your-pants rumble, tire is more a front end/steering wheel shaking. You can literally see the steering wheel moving back and forth slightly with tire issue, driveline you just feel rumble in steering wheel but don't see it it actually move. Also, driveline will often have an oscillating quality, especially if it's driveshaft related. That's my experince anyway with past driveshaft problems.Here is a stupid question.
