I mentioned this a while back. my PP brakes do not feel like they are right. when i come to a stop i can feel the transmission downshifting and it feels like the car is not stopping well because of what feels like a slight increase in engine rpms with each downshift. this makes the car feel as though it is pushing through the brakes when this occurs. it happens in regular D mode and frankly the brakes don't feel very good at all because of it. I stopped at a local Ford dealer near me and the service guys first question is who did i buy the car from and don't they have a service dept? anybody else with a A10 equipped 2018 feel something similar in their car?

1) Find a new Ford Service Center if they won’t take the time to help you out if you didn’t buy the car from them. A Ford owner can take their Ford product to ANY Ford Dealership in the US and have it serviced. You should have said to the idiot: “So I guess you don’t Service any other Fords unless they’re all bought here?”

2) The A10 10R80 is an adaptive learning transmission. It takes accrued miles for it to learn your driving habits - so it may feel jerky or hesitant through the gears while driving or coming to stops, even more so if you come to a quick or abrupt stop - or even slugging it up to a stop. Over time, you should feel the symptoms level out and become more smooth. How many miles are on your 2018?

Both of our '18 F150s did this same thing. Drives me absolutely nuts, almost impossible to come to a nice comfortable stop.

to me it almost feels like the torque converter isn't unlocking or is too tight. this issue seems to happen even when coming to a stop slowly. at that low of RPM the converter should be slipping and downshifts when coming to a stop shouldn't be noticeable. I'm gonna pop the shifter into Neutral before stopping a few times and see how drastic the difference is.

Suppose it is a converter issue - how would a tight converter be remedied?
