FYI, GT Performance Pack is now $2,995!! The first month or so of 2016 production was still made at $2,495, but the price kicked in sometime around July.

Trust me I know, I looked all over the place for a 2016 with the options that I wanted. But it worked out that I had to order a 2017 which costs $500 more, plus the PP costs $500 more... So my MSRP was $1,000 more than if I could have found a 2016 with the same options.
Ford realized the take rate on the PP was higher than expected (100% serious), and is about 40% of all GTs sold.

Ordered my 2017 GT PP in May and got 2016 prices across the board, even though the ford site had already jacked the prices. :clap2:

The current S550 has to much going for it to justify major changes for 2018. Here is my prediction:

HP/TQ to match power pack 2 level and bring it inline with SS
Facelift (don't expect much though)
PP Driveline changes (clutch spring, suspension, Torsen will all be tighter)
Hood blinkers (kidding)

I got the only 2016 within a 200 mile radius with the options and color that I wanted at $4K off of MSRP with no trade and 0% APR for 72 months.

I essentially saved $8k off of what I would have otherwise paid to order a 2017.

Dealer did a buy back on my 2016 and tried to find another within ~200 miles and were not able to find a car with my options and color. So they ordered a new 2017 and I paid $4k under MSRP. Have to say the 2017 is a better driver.

That would put it at 455hp/425lbft without DI. With DI, 485hp/450lbfts of torque is achievable factoring a conservative 8% bump.

The 17 is a better drive than the 16? How so? Genuinely confused/interested.

The better heat extraction from the hood blinker delete of course. Good for 15hp:lol:

Yes, I'm curious too. How is the '17 better? Can you elaborate?

Did they implement a lighter weight clutch spring, like I've heard was in the pipeline.

I thought there were no mechanical changes. And only a few minor suspension tweaks to the PP pack from '15 to '16.

1) stock clutch spring is damn close to the steeda Spring
2) Torsen does not THUD when putting into gear and shifting to second and driveline is not as loose as the 2016 (bought w/3 on the odometer)
3) suspension is tighter, not sure if they changed anything in shocks

That and no bent panels and reworked fenders makes it all worth it, no $ loss btw. :gossip:

Oh ok so nothing really just placebo effect. I was worried that 2017 got something ground breaking.

The 10 speed is all but confirmed...that's a major change also.
