Do you have it in writing? Like on an official document? You might be reading too much into it.
My dealer gave me the document that says "Scheduled to Week (Week of Dec 18-2017). That's all it says....Is it getting built on that date or is it going to transit on that date. Dealer said if it is snowing at Flat Rock it could take 2 to 3 weeks to get it on a train. I want to be optimistic but I think you are reading to much into your dates, which do not add up.
Just saying!!!! I hope it works out for you.
This is what they gave me. And that is what the new car manager told me :)

nice! I hope I can get something like this, but knowing your order is 8/26 and it's getting a production week of 12/18, mine will probably be around that time too, maybe a week or two earlier.

I'm just confused by Allocation week and production week. Whats the difference?

All I can think of is allocation week is when they intend to start building the car, and the production week is the latest date it should be finished (like if they ran out of parts). But this is just my guess.

Hi sbrenskell,
That's what I am talking about. That is the same info I got from my dealer. They said Dec 18 is the start build date. Then the Plant shuts down for 2 weeks for Xmas and New years (now we are into Jan 2018). The the car sits outside in the weather for 2 to 3 weeks waiting for transit. That puts it near the end of Jan for Delivery. I do not like it, but that what it is and we have no control. At least we have Docs. Our cars should be built at the same time. Les

The Allocation week is when the collect/allocate all of the part for your car. It says 48-2017...that is the first week of Dec, the computer system makes sure they have all of the parts. They will start building your car and mine the week of Dec 18. Hopefully they complete the build before the Xmas shutdown or our cars will sit on the assembly line uncompleted for two weeks til the come back to work and try to remember what the last part they put on the cars was and where to start with the next part. I do not know how long it takes to build the car, does anyone have any ideas? Les:cheers:

i just texted my dealer and made a change to my order today. i hope it doesnt delay it at all since my build date is not until nov 30. I finally decided to remove the 20" wheels and in its place add the Perf Package and Magneride, even though the cost goes up so high $4143 Difference. They are going to let me know when its accepted and get the new dora for me when i return from vacation

My order has the order date that I edited it. So it might change your build date.

Yup. I think my order date changed also with editing. That's pretty messed up IMO. My VIN says Order 10/7 when I put it in 8/24 originally. Also, the screenshot he sent me of the sheet has a "Scheduled to Week" under secondary status. I guess that means the build date? If so, it's the same week as many of you 12/18. Sucks. Guess I won't see it until next year. I'm worried about my car trade-in value. I haven't driven it though.

I just received a call from my dealer. I now have a scheduled build date of December 11. For reference, I ordered the first week of August.

Ordered 8/4. Nothing in stone but deal stated delivery between Thanksgiving and Christmas which would go with a lot of what others have positioned. Looks like if you got your order in, and didn’t make any edits, by mid August your looking at a 2017 delivery. Anytime after that it looks like a December build but because of the shutdown a January delivery. Fingers crossed it gets done and shipped before the holidays
