What??? They are seriously shutting down next week? What are they trick or treating for the whole week or something? Damn!
This was announced a while back. They're trying to keep inventory levels under control.

As of Sept. 1, Ford had 111 days’ worth of unsold Mustangs, 87 days’ supply of Fusions, and a 103 days’ supply of Transit vans, according to Automotive News. Dealers had enough unsold Lincoln Continentals to last 162 days. Automakers aim for 65 to 70 days of inventory of most models.

It does not. COTUS shows in order processing which it did not yesterday. Build date was a text from the sales guy. VIN is in COTUS; not sure how I get to window sticker from there.
Your window sticker will eventually be available on Cotus. There will be a window sticker "button" under the picture of your car on the "Vehicle Summary" page. For example, check this one out: 1FA6P8CF2J5108568. Normally the window sticker is available around one week before your car is scheduled to come off the assembly-line (the blend date on your window sticker). Normally your vehicle starts production (which lasts about one week) approximately three weeks after it goes into order processing. The key word here is "normally." Nothing about the 2018 process has been normal thus far. There are a number of folks who have been in order processing for over 8 weeks. Maybe your order/build will be closer to normal.

Hopefully all of our builds will be moving along soon.

Well Boys and Girls.....Finally got my VIN today. My Fleet Mgr called me and said it is scheduled to be built on Dec 18, 2017 and probably delivered by the end of Jan 2018.
She says aren't you excited...NO.....DELIVERY END OF JAN.
Looks like things are moving forward for several people today. Finally we are seeing movement.
I placed my order Aug 28, 2017. Just a very long wait. She said they shut down for Christmas and New Years.....Aaaarrrrrrggggg.
It does show up on COTUS. Hope she is wrong about the delivery date.

Hopefully, tomorrow my dealer will call me with good news. If your car got scheduled that must mean mine did too. It just aggravates me that I can't look on Cotus to see if mine has moved. I texted my salesman today and he said he'll call me tomorrow. You think if mine moved he'd be able to tell me right then and there. :frusty:

After several phone calls and running circles with my dealership, I got my VIN number today. The order number still won't find it on COTUS, but it's there with the VIN. Ordered mid-September and it's currently set for 12/18 build date. Guess it won't be my Christmas present to me.

Tips for anyone else having a hard time getting info: ask for the Customer Service Manager at your dealer. He seemed to be the only one who could look up info in the factory order system.
Even once the car is in Order Processing on COTUS and it's not giving you any more detail, your dealer should be able to tell you the build week. He also told me any mods to the build sheet now would require starting a whole new order.

So that should mean mine will hopefully be in November since yours is in December. Fingers crossed! :)

Dealer has nothing comparable coming in before my vehicle. I have decided to just stick with the PP1. I would love to have PP2, but the tires are really not practical for a DD on the SC coast. I also don't want to risk not having a car even longer. PP2 could easily get pushed back, and I would be uneasy waiting till Feb or March.

Not sure what I believe out of these jokers at the dealership, but my guy also told me he can view every pending order in the country, and no orders are currently in transit. He told me he doesn't expect to see any cars in Utah in 2017.

Thats their job, to be good liars. Every salesman I've ever met doesn't know shit about cars.
Oh, but I bet they do know shit.

There are already cars showing up at dealerships. He is full of it.

I am sitting at my large dealer in Grapevine, TX and they have not received any 2018 Mustangs. I have not seen any at other area dealers either.
