Happy Days!!!!!! I ordered on Aug 28. No VIN # yet. I do not want anything at the beginning of the assembly process. Let them work the bugs out.

I sure hope they don't run out of Lightning Blue paint.
It looks like there's going to be a plethora of 2018's on the road in that color next year.

Don't forget the Kona Blue is back, and I think a lot of people might want to get that color.

After waiting all day for COTUS to come back up, I did my daily check of 12 vehicles, mine plus 11 others. Half of the the 12 go to my dealer with the rest going to dealers in areas where I frequently travel. All 12 have been produced and until today, ALL were awaiting shipment. Well, today, 2 from my sample shipped. Finally, some movement. Both were produced on 10/17 and both go to the same dealer. Both are GT's, one a manual coupe and one an AT convertible. This is encouraging. My order was produced on 10/19. Can't wait to see it leave Michigan!!! Maybe tomorrow. Per past discussions, I've concluded that mine was a stock order.

Maybe dumb question but ... how do you know they are in transit? Where do I look that up? Inventory search on Ford.com just says dealer ordered.

ETA: NVM - figured it out - gotta put the VIN in COTUS.

You got it. Put the VIN in and you get info. I'd like to know where the priority code comes from. I've not seen that. Less concerned today since my car has been produced. They aren't going to let it sit too long at the plant. At least, I hope they don't let it sit too long.

I was talking to my dealer about changing to PP2, and he said my car has been moved ahead. He said expected delivery is around the 2nd week of Nov. I think I will just keep the order as is. As much as I like the wheel and suspension upgrades on PP2, I will realistically rarely push the PP1 to its limits. I am also not in a good area for Sport Cup 2 tires.

Interesting enough, COTUS doesn't show it in production yet. It is still in order processing. How would it arrive in a couple weeks when it isn't even being built? Dealer better not be bullshitting me.

Dealers don't do that.
Seems pointless, since I will just change my order to PP2 if the car isn't coming till end of December.

Update... They were looking at the wrong order. Mine is still delayed for manufacturing until 11/29/17. That means I won't likely see it until late December.

I guess I need to decide if I want PP1 in orange or PP2 in red. It will only be an extra month if I go for PP2, so timing sucks either way. To make things even worse, my truck broke down yesterday. I could really use that car right now...

I say do it. You are already thinking about it, no reason to have any regrets, especially since it really isn't that much more cost.

(Full disclosure: I am moving your way and would like to see one in person before I order :D)
