Any engine will show higher than normal wear metals for the first 10k miles, including silicone as a by product of the manufacturing process. Use same oil and test after 10k miles and that will be a better indicator of engine wear metals as well as silicone making it through.

So are you saying the engine is essentially breaking in for 10,000 miles?

Far as I can tell I am not burning any oil or anything noticeable. Just down on power and mpgs. I drive 80/20 freeway city. Pretty conservative. Nothing over 75.
