2018 Ford F-150

I don't see a Diesel going in the F-150 unless they try to do like a Super Duty F-150, to bridge the gap between the 150 and 250. The 2.7 is the Eco motor, if this diesel is to compete with the eco diesel doesn't that kind of defeat the point of the 2.7?

No because there will most likely being a 4K upgrade cost to the diesel and diesel is still more expensive than gas in many states. It's about 40 cents more per gallon here in west texas. I'd take the 2.7L with a 10 speed personally.

But it is coming. It's already been spotted testing. Ford has a diesel in place already as well. They sell it to Jaguar/Land Rover.

I had seen the spy shots of the test mules, I do not recall seeing the official announcement from Ford though, must have missed it.

They have the 3.2 diesel option in the new transit work vans already. I would guess its based off that design.

I have a 2016 F150 2.7 and it is a very impressive engine. It tows my GT350 and gets great gas mileage (25+ city) has all kinds of power and does everything I need it to do. I ran some 13.7s 1/4 miles and it's 100% bone stock.

It's like the Super Duty brackets and the 2006 Gillette Grille had a baby. Meh. Sporty trim reminds me of a Ranger for some reason...not exactly a bad thing.

Nice engine options though...my dad just bought a 2016 with 2.7 and I told him they're already updating the design. He said he's switching to a Superduty...they measure their updates in decades.

Certain trims I think the updated grille looks fantastic, other trims not so much. I need to see one in person.
