No because there will most likely being a 4K upgrade cost to the diesel and diesel is still more expensive than gas in many states. It's about 40 cents more per gallon here in west texas. I'd take the 2.7L with a 10 speed personally.I don't see a Diesel going in the F-150 unless they try to do like a Super Duty F-150, to bridge the gap between the 150 and 250. The 2.7 is the Eco motor, if this diesel is to compete with the eco diesel doesn't that kind of defeat the point of the 2.7?
But it is coming. It's already been spotted testing. Ford has a diesel in place already as well. They sell it to Jaguar/Land Rover.
