Oh so you have adaptive cruise and auto wipers? Then you are supposedly to get the -AA part. Though It doesn’t really matter which one you get for wipers. I’m pretty sure the SCCM is the same it’s just the wiper stalk writing that’s different.

breeves002 I don't have Adaptive Cruise, just auto wipers. The photo below shows how my wipers switch looks like. Can you please confirm that I need to order the JR3Z-3F791-AA (Auto Wipers) part? Thanks again

Ok so wait a tic...I have a base 17 A6....there is no cluster for this now? If there is one, is it the one being talked about a few posts back? If it isn't and there is one, what part number for my vehicle? Sorry for my confusion.

Oh interesting. In the US you can’t get auto wipers without adaptive cruise. You need the AA part yes.

The auto part number I have listed is backordered with no release date. I suspect there’s a new part number that you can order but no one has found that yet for the auto cars.

seems like my order for the cluster was cancelled. Both -LB and -ALC are both backordered with no ETA at all at every location ive called(all ford dealers around me as well as tasca)

how disappointing.

That stinks.. I was pissed when I found out that my order was cancelled with no ETA with Tasca. I was very lucky to find the -ALC cluster at my local dealer who order it with one day turn around from Atlanta.

But I also paid a total of $1423.97 for it with tax $129.45.

A lot of parts are now on backorder like the buttons that go on the steering wheel. Because I try to order those and they just cancelled it tonight.

I received confirmation this afternoon from Tasca that all of my parts are ordered and/or on their way, including the cluster. It has been ordered from the manufacturer and will be shipped out as soon as it arrives to their location. SCCM is ready to ship, switches and trim piece should be here soon. Looks like I got it in the nick of time. Hopefully I don't get any bad news from them. Their email today in regards to the cluster order;

Dear Joseph:

Thank you for the thorough information, we appreciate that!

You’ll be happy to know that your order is being processed and should be on its way to you soon!

We’re just waiting to receive one or more items from your shopping cart that required special ordering; as soon as those arrive at our warehouse (in about three to five business days), your order will be shipped to you.

When you get your order depends on where you are located in relation to us (we’re on the east coast of the United States, in Rhode Island) and the shipping method that you selected. If you still have questions about shipping and delivery, please visit our website: https://www.tascaparts.com/shipping-policy.

Need to speak to someone about your order?
This email is unmonitored, so please do not reply to it. If you need to speak to someone about your order, please email us at [email protected].

Thank you for your business!

Kind Regards,
Joy

Yeah it’s all special order. I’m still thinking there’s a new part number because if you can’t order the current number then it’s unlikely you’ll ever be able to again. Usually when things are backordered they still let you order those parts.
Typically that is correct, though I had to pretty much beg OEM Ford parts to place the order for the -JA SCCM before getting the one with heated wheel from Tasca. I told them I know its backordered and don't care about having to wait and they put the order through for that number. Whenever it comes in I will post it here for anyone looking to purchase the -JA number as I won't need it now. Clusters are a little different as they're not stocked nor are they produced directly by Ford, so they may be hesitant to have money in limbo when it's at the whim of an outside source. The auto one too I believe some of them had a recall, so they may be revising future units.

Well Tasca was a major let down for me today but all hope is not lost...

After I first ordered all my parts last Thursday, I received confirmation that everything was in stock and would be shipped by today or tomorrow at the latest. Well, when I woke up this morning I received an email saying part of my order was cancelled. So obviously I called them right away and what like what the f$*k? (calling them has required a wait on hold for over 10 min every time, 25 min on Monday alone)

They said that their computer showed everything being "in stock" but when they went to pull the steering column they noticed it was no where to be found. In addition, last week the cluster was "in stock", but now requires special ordering.

So I went through all of the different part numbers with the rep for the column until we found one that was available. The only one they had in stock was the -KA so I ordered that one.

In closing, Tasca has now gone back and forth 4 times on what they actually have in stock vs special order vs backorder. They have automatically cancelled parts twice resulting in me having to reorder before even receiving credit back to my card. It is nice having them at a lower cost than factory but honestly it's almost not worth the hassle. Especially if Ford will match the prices anyways. Just my .02 though. I will post an update if my order changes again. One more change and I will cancel the whole thing and just go through another supplier.

What a headache, if I could buy direct from ford like a dealer I would just sell kits... so frustrating guys. I’m so happy I jumped on this mod early.

Exactly, Sam! I don't care if there isn't any in stock and it is backordered, just update the site to reflect that instead of taking $1600 from someone just to have to refund small amounts as we go. And then, actually provide accurate information to your customer. Every time I have had to call I get a different answer on the parts being in stock vs backordered vs special order. Tasca must move millions of items every single day to not be able to have an accurate stock system. But if they were that big they should invest in an adequate stock system haha :headbonk:

I've been to their Rhode island locations and they are MASSIVE. They have three different Ford dealerships in the area in addition to a separate parts only facility/warehouse at the Cranston location. I think they just do too much volume to get that personal touch. They also deal with other OEM brand parts.

If I can go to the dealership and they can pull accurate stock data from Ford's warehouses, I think Tasca can have their own inventory up to date. No matter how big Tasca is, they aren't bigger than Ford Parts. (my assumption, not proven to be a fact)

Having accurate order information isn't a "personal touch," it is good business practice. Like I said though, all hope is not lost. And Ford parts could very well be the blame for a lot of this. I just haven't had this issue with other suppliers and I have been buying parts for years.
