There is nothing that says the 2019's have better parts. If the part fails - then it will be fixed under warranty. Threads like this just drum up paranoia.I hear you but Ford did not issue a TSB and create a new part fix kit because of a few negative posts on-line. It's a real world issue on a major drive train component and there is no justifying that in 2018. I'm not bashing the car. I want one. In my opinion it's the best looking, best performing ( if it stays screwed together ) premium sports car on the market right now but if its capable of blowing a tranny under normal operating conditions then thats a big problem. You can bet that the 2019's that are rolling to dealerships now have newer better parts in that gear box. I'm going to see if the car I want to buy can be retro-fitted with the new parts that Ford is now shipping to dealers for a fix if the car fails. Again.. this situation would not exist if there was no real issue. And while you hopefully will never have an issue I would bet money if you were shopping you'd be looking for more information.
