Which side panels did you get. I would install, grind, fill and get them to look good then go to my local carbon fiber shop and have replicated removing all uneven areas. Let me know. Thanks.

I should have modified them a little more before final painting but it was experimental I'll find a way hopefully to make them work
Really nice work. I'm trying to do the same for my 2020 GT Premium Convertible, however, after making the mods apparent in your pics I still have a problem with the hood not clearing the cover. Any thoughts on I'm what I'm missing? Did you make any mods to the height of the panel(s)? Thanks for any advice!

Nope you are correct, after all the work they will not let the hood close properly, lost cause

How about if you sand them down, will it work, and have enough material to be sanded down to clear. I have the panels, just haven't had time to come up with a plan to mold and mod so they fit OEM. I have an idea how to do it though. It will take allot of cutting, and adding material to mold correctly to. Then I will paint accordantly with the Rad front cover.

U-Pol 7061 I think would be a good plastic filler which will bond to the plastic, then grind and cut.

I’ve not had time to see if the 2017 extensions can be “lowered” to allow the hood to close. However, I did easily modify a 2015-17 radiator vanity plate from ACC. Twenty careful minutes with a band saw to trim the polished border around the brushed plate. Again not sure why no one makes these for 2018+
