I've got a 2017 Mustang GT, manual, and I'm getting ready to start some add ons. Exhaust has already been done, now I'm looking for a tuner and cold air kit. Just looking for some suggestions/opinions since I'm kinda new to this. What do you guys run, pros/cons of the different brands, so on?

You can shop here;

FWIW, the general idea is that unless you're also doing LTHs, just the tune is sufficient. The OEM CAI is really great, and does the best job of keeping IATs down as low as possible.

In fact, I'd think ceramic coating and heat-wrapping your OEM headers would do more to lower IATs and make more power than an after-market CAI.

save your money, just add a K&N filter with the original box. This from a JLT cai owner.

also. canned tunes SUCKS. You are not gonna make any extra power at all... get a custom tune from PBD, Lund etc... if you are not changing your intake manifold, or adding extra stuff, you are not gonna get much. Your best bet will be a flex tune or a dedicated e85 tune. You don't need anything else besides the tune if the car is stock.

shit, better tires will make the car quicker than a canned tune and some CAI.

cat deletes or long tubes + custom tune is also a nice better option... CAI will be mainly for looks and high IAT

I'll echo what others are saying. Personally I think CAIs are a waste of money and the stock box already breathes extremely well. As for tuners, go custom and stay away from canned. Either head to a local shop with a dyno or try a reputable name like Lund, Palm Beach Dyno, Livernois, etc.

I'm looking for a tuner and cold air kit.
PMAS hands down.
The magic is the 120mm MAF Housing and the Odd shaped 90 deg elbow !
If you’re going with a tune or no tune PMAS it’s the only system worth about 20 HP.
JLT (120mm) should also be on your radar.

The IAT isn’t that big of a deal when using a 120mm MAF housing.
Every +/- 10deg. F = about 1.5% gain or loss.
@ 450 HP that 1.5% equals about 6.75 HP. The tuners at Ford decided not to pull timing until IAT reach 150 deg F.

You say exhaust is done but does that include long tubes? If not it's not done and should be a consideration. As others have mentioned a drop in filter with oem box will keep iats down and still flow. By far, and by a huge margin best bang for your buck is tuning for e85 / flex tuning if e is available in your area. Adding that plus long tubes at the same time will be a night and day difference, and can be done without additional tune revisions. Custom tuning from AED, PBD, Lund etc with the tuning device that your chosen tuner supports.
