It’s either the genuine GT350 rear valence or the Ikon replica.

In the last picture if you zoom in it looks to have a dimpled texture almost golf ball like.

I don’t believe the gt350 valance has that texture does it?

Should a rear diffuser look like that from a functional perspective ?

I though the typical design is to create a vacuum downforce on the rear.

I believe the main purpose is to decrease drag. I would think if it does this properly there would be some increase in downforce from the faster moving air under the car.

Yeah one tiny downside for some owners who change to the OEM GT350 rear on a regular Mustang, is the texture does not match the side skirts and front chin. the dimpled texture is not shared among the lower side and front chin spoiler of stock regular mustang.

the 2018 mustangs now however do get a dimpled insert panel that surrounds the exhaust outlets.

Honestly I never noticed it before now. My biggest gripe with it is the inner tip sticks out more then the outer one but the outer pipe is longer. I am thinking of taking it some where to have them change it but I have no idea why it was made like this.
